Why Join?

The National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC) invites potential entrepreneurs to join the AI Startups initiative as individuals or as part of a team. All interested participants must complete the registration form individually. For team applications, the designated team leader will be responsible for submitting a separate team formation form with the details of all members. Each team may consist of a maximum of five individuals. Those applying individually should not complete the team formation form.

AI specialists and entrepreneurship experts along with NPCC staff will deliver a comprehensive training programme that bridges the gap between technical innovation and business success. Members of the technical committee for the AI Startups initiative will provide personalised mentorship throughout your entrepreneurial journey. These seasoned professionals will offer insights and guidance, helping participants navigate complex challenges and transforming their ideas into business plans.

Seed Funding Opportunities

Top five qualifying AI startups will receive essential seed funding to bring the startups to life. This financial support removes initial barriers and enables entrepreneurs to focus on building AI-based products or services.

Incubation Support

Further support from a network of industry experts, venture capitalists and other potential investors will ensure that participants relate to resources, partnerships, and growth opportunities essential for sustainable business development.

3.     AI Sprint

This intensive product development session will require participants to build functional prototypes. It provides hands-on experience transforming theoretical concepts into AI solutions. Prototypes will be assessed for their eligibility as a marketable product or service.

Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship Training

Dedicated sessions cover essential entrepreneurship fundamentals, including sustainable business models, financial planning, and market strategy development specifically tailored for AI startups.

Investor Pitch Presentations

Entrepreneurs present their refined business plans to leading investors, gaining exposure to potential funding sources and valuable feedback from industry experts.

Recognition and Rewards

Top five performing teams will receive cash prize of Rs 100,000 each as seed funding and incubation support to accelerate their AI startups.

• Ages 18-35 years
• Students, recent graduates and diploma holders. Career changers welcome
• Minimum qualification: Higher School Certificate (HSC)

• IT, Computer Science, Engineering, and related field graduates particularly encouraged
