Cervonic Ltd nominated as finalist at the Africa Kaizen Award 2026

Cervonic Ltd has been named a finalist for the Africa Kaizen Award (AKA) 2026, placing a Mauritian organisation among the continent’s leading Kaizen practitioners. The company is shortlisted in the Micro and Small-scale Organisations (MSO) category and has also secured a place among the finalists for the Best Decent Work Award.

The selection follows Cervonic’s win as Grand Winner of the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award (NPQEA) 2025 for its project “Reducing MOAH in cold-extracted tuna oil to keep Cervonic compliant and thriving”.

This year’s edition is the largest yet, drawing 31 companies and organisations from 11 African countries across the MSO, Medium-scale and Large-scale categories. Two special awards — Best Decent Work and Best New-Comer — have been introduced for 2026.

Seven finalists emerged from an assessment process in which nominees presented their Kaizen activities and results. The assessors noted well-established practices across the field, including strong top-management leadership, 5S, visualisation, layout improvements grounded in time studies, digitalisation and environmental sustainability. Cervonic will now showcase its work alongside finalists from Ethiopia, Egypt, Tunisia and South Africa.

For the NPCC, the selection is a clear signal of how deeply Kaizen and continuous improvement have taken root in Mauritian organisations.

Cervonic will present its Kaizen journey at the Africa Kaizen Award 2026 ceremony on 26 October 2026 at The Ravenala Attitude Hotel, Balaclava, held as part of the Africa Kaizen Annual Conference 2026 — a two-day hybrid event running 26–27 October in Mauritius. Finalists compete for the Outstanding and Excellent awards, announced by the Awards Examination Committee after the presentations.
