Expression of Interest - Call for Trainers
Introduction
The National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC) is inviting applications from prospective individual consultants and entities including companies, universities, public and private institutions, foundations and associations, to register as trainers in different areas in an effort to enhance business productivity.
The Call for Trainers aims at creating a qualified pool of trainers who will deliver professional services on a short-term/retainer basis to assist the NPCC in building productive and competitive enterprises.
Areas of Expertise
1. Smart Transformation
Enabling enterprises to transform their business models and become more competitive through the introduction of new, innovative methods including technology, insights, tools, techniques, etc.
2. Quality of Workforce
Enhancing the skills and competencies of the workforce by preparing for future work with productivity improvement knowledge as the primary input.
3. Green Productivity
Intensifying applications of green productivity with the application of new tools, techniques, and implementation methods.
4. Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Facilitating or improving an organisation’s ability to come up with new ideas by fostering an innovation culture, commercialising Research and Development (R&D) results, etc.
Nature of Services
Trainers will be expected to conduct training programmes targeted toward personnel of different levels with the objective to increase the innovation and competitiveness capacity of firms. Prospective candidates should have teaching/training/practical experience in the aforementioned fields and must be able to support their experience with official documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Prospective trainers must possess the following qualifications and experience:
• Relevant industry experience and at least three years of teaching/training/practical experience;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with clients at all levels;
• Relevant certification in the field of Learning & Development;
• Relevant certification in the domain of subject matter expertise in the fields indicated above;
• Ability to engage learners while imparting values through constructive games and activities;
• Ability to develop/contextualise courseware to meet clients’ requirements at all levels.

· Experience of having successfully conducted similar training;
· References for similar training.
