1) Objective of the Role
The incumbent is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the day-to-day financial, accounting operations of an organisation and the day-to-day record maintenance, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the financial reporting function.

2) Main Tasks and Duties
• To prepare and be involved in Budgeting and Committee of Supply
• To participate actively in the Finance Committee
• To work out Council papers as per statutory procurement Financial Procedures
• To prepare statement of accounts
• To carry out reconciliation of accounts
• To prepare Finance Budget and forecasts
• To verify and issue invoice, payment vouchers and purchase orders
• To ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of the financial books and records of the NPCC
• To ensure timely and accurate processing of cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable; and proper handling of all tax matters and timely filing of all tax return of the NPCC
• To maintain accurate and complete files and comply with the organizational framework of the NPCC
• To prepare payroll, annual budget and final accounts statutory returns and other financial statements requirement of the Management Team and Council
• To monitor and interpret cash flows
• To do internal control of accounts
• To liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
• To develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations
• To be in charge of stores and stationery including the purchase and supply functions
• To ensure debts are collected on time and invoices prepared
• To put in place internal control system and ensure its proper functioning
• To monitor overhead and capital expenses to ensure achievement of cost efficiency and acting to correct any adverse variances
• To meet performance objectives by being responsible for providing day-today supervision, workforce planning, training and support and conducting performance appraisals in accordance with the NPCC HR policies and procedures
• To be responsible for assigning tasks to the team members, scheduling and monitoring work and reviewing results for timeliness, accuracy and quality
• To monitor and evaluate budget allocation for projects of the NPCC
• To act as Brand Ambassador for the NPCC
• To participate and assist in the activities of the NPCC

Qualifications
• A Master's Degree in a related field
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or successful completion of ACCA level 3 or other equivalent qualifications relevant to the field
• A Cambridge Higher School Certificate

3) Experience
• 3 - 5 years' proven experience in a Finance and Accounts Department

4) Salary Scale:
Rs 42, 530 x 1,090 - 43,620 x 1,350 - 51,720 x 1,620 - 63,060 x 1,890 - 81,960 x 2,420 - 86,800

1. The post will be on a 12-month contract. (Conditions apply)
2. The candidate may be able to join in the middle of the Salary Scale.
3. Candidates should not be more than 45 years of age by the closing date for submission of applications.
