Theme: Recognising Excellence in Productivity and Quality
One of the functions of the National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC) is to ‘promote and develop greater productivity and quality awareness and consciousness amongst the public, and organise awards to recognise individuals, teams and organisations for their outstanding achievements in quality and productivity.’ Step up
Following the successful implementation of three editions of National Productivity and Quality Convention (NPQC) and given that enterprises need to embrace the journey of continuous improvement and excellence the NPQC has been rebranded as the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award (NPQEA 2022/23) The launching of NPQEA is scheduled for the 1st December 2022.
Objectives of the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award
The NPQEA encourages organisations to share their best operational practices, processes, systems, and initiatives and learn from the experience of others. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of teams that have been responsible for creating and/or managing productivity and quality improvements at their workplace.
More specifically the Award will:
1. raise awareness about the importance of organisational excellence and foster a culture of excellence among Mauritian organisations to achieve higher productivity and competitiveness
2. provide recognition to organisations that are making continuous efforts to improve management and operational practices
3. identify role models for others to emulate and use as benchmark
